Enhancing a Yacht Tender with Premium Audio and Reliable Communication

Recently, Upgrade Marine had the opportunity to upgrade a client’s tender with a custom audio and communication package designed to make every trip more enjoyable while keeping safety a top priority.
Premium Sound for Days on the Water
The goal of this project was to create a better experience aboard the tender for both the owner and their grandchildren. We installed a Fusion stereo paired with two JL Audio M6 marine speakers, delivering high-quality sound in a compact and durable package built for the marine environment.
Whether they are spending an afternoon exploring the San Diego Bay, relaxing at a favorite anchorage, or enjoying time together away from the main yacht, the upgraded audio system ensures they can enjoy their favorite music while on the water.
Communication and Safety While Away From the Yacht
One of the most important parts of this installation was not just entertainment, it was safety.
The owner wanted to ensure that his grandchildren could confidently use the tender while still being able to communicate with the main boat when needed. Having reliable communication onboard provides peace of mind when family members are out exploring.
To accomplish this, we installed an Icom CommandMic black box VHF system. This compact setup provides full VHF communication capabilities while allowing for a clean installation that works well within the limited space of a tender.
Whether communicating back to the yacht, checking in while exploring, or contacting emergency services such as the Coast Guard if ever needed, having a dependable VHF radio onboard is an essential safety feature.
