Sionyx Night Vision Camera & Starlink Mini Installation on a Beneteau Antares 11

Modern boating technology can make a significant difference in how owners navigate, stay connected, and use their vessels. For this Beneteau Antares 11, Upgrade Marine completed two upgrades designed around the owner's needs: a SIONYX Nightwave digital marine night vision camera for improved forward visibility in low-light conditions and a Starlink Mini satellite internet system for onboard connectivity.

Both installations were carefully positioned to integrate with the vessel while maintaining a clean, professional appearance.

SIONYX Nightwave Marine Night Vision Camera

Navigating Southern California waters after sunset or in other low-light conditions can present challenges, particularly when identifying objects and monitoring the water ahead. The owner wanted an additional forward-facing view to help improve visibility at the helm.

To address this, we installed a SIONYX Nightwave digital marine night vision camera at the front of the Beneteau Antares 11. The Nightwave uses advanced low-light imaging technology to provide a view of the surroundings when natural light is limited, giving the operator another source of visual information while underway.

For boat owners who regularly navigate at night or travel during changing light conditions, a dedicated marine night vision camera can be a valuable addition to an onboard electronics system. It complements other navigation tools by providing a visual perspective of the water ahead, supporting greater situational awareness when visibility becomes more challenging.

Clean Starlink Mini Installation

Reliable internet connectivity has become an increasingly important part of modern boating, whether for weather information, communications, remote work, or staying connected while cruising.

For this project, we installed a Starlink Mini system along the aft edge of the Antares 11's flybridge. The flat-mounted installation keeps the antenna low-profile and neatly integrated into the vessel's layout, avoiding an unnecessarily bulky addition to the flybridge.

Mounting location and cable routing are important considerations when adding satellite connectivity to a boat. A well-planned installation needs to account for the vessel's layout, antenna positioning, and a clean, secure route for the wiring. Our goal was to deliver a practical connectivity upgrade while preserving the finished appearance of the boat.
